Fiona is co-founder of Sonny and Skye productions and is the Writer and Producer for the feature ‘Songs for Amy’.
Fiona’s background lies in business and she has worked within the highly competitive software industry for over 12 years. Nominated for 'Businesswoman of the Year', Fiona's key business strengths lie in Management, Sales, PR and Marketing. During her days in IT, she used any spare time to focus on her passion for film and writing, attending courses all over the world and writing scripts in every spare moment. Since leaving IT, Fiona has focused full-time on her writing and film production company and has been involved in every aspect of 'Songs for Amy', both creative and commercial, from inception to completion.
Konrad Begg, Director of ‘Songs for Amy’, has a unique visual style and was involved in the project from an early stage, working with writer/producer, Fiona Graham on the story. Originally from Scotland and a guitar player and singer/songwriter in his spare time, Konrad had the perfect background to relate to the music scene in the west of Ireland. He worked closely throughout the film with the musicians and actors to ensure the authenticity came through in the film.
Having started his career in short film and television, Konrad has directed several high profile drama documentaries and landmark factual entertainment programs for the BBC, ITV, SKYONE and Five, including including Top Gear, 'Robbie Coltrane's B Road Britain' and 'Rivers' with Griff Rhys Jones. In 2008, Konrad was nominated for a BAFTA and the episode of 'Born Survivor' with Bear Grylls, which he directed, was nominated for an Emmy. Konrad has also directed numerous commercials including Siemens, O’Neill clothing, Quiksilver and Lexus. With a BAFTA and EMMY nomination already under his belt, Konrad has just recently been nominated for another BAFTA for Top Gear.
Mairi is co-founder of Sonny and Skye productions and Executive producer for the feature ‘Songs for Amy’. Having operated at CEO level for global software, Mairi’s key skills lie in Management, Sales, PR & Marketing. During her time in the software industry, Mairi won ‘Young Director of the Year’ from the Institute of Directors, runner-up for ‘Individual Excellence’ at the Software Awards and was nominated for ‘First Woman’ award by the CBI. Mairi brings her business experience to Sonny and Skye Productions for their feature film, 'Songs for Amy' and is key to the investment strategy, marketing and commercial elements of the film.
Neil is a creative and business partner of Sonny and Skye Productions and worked with Fiona from post production through to securing distribution of ‘Songs for Amy’, bringing with him decades of marketing experience. Neil has been self-employed in Scotland specialising in sales and marketing, creating a start up business that now turns over in excess in of £2m. Neil is currently co-writing the screenplay ‘Making IT’ with Fiona Graham and will be involved in all aspects of production.
